Montreal Photographer
Today after work I went to the little fruit market across the street but not to buy groceries. If you look back into my posts you can see a portrait of Shahram and he was really receptive about me taking photographs of him so I went back but to take pictures. It’s always a lot of fun when the person likes to be the model, it feels natural and I wanted to take some sort of serious portraits of him but man this is impossible with him. He smiling at all time! As I was taking pictures someone came inside, shouting out loud “oh he’s your photographer too!!” I turned back and it was Gilbert from the bakery next door. Turns out they are cousins. Had a nice talk as usual with the two.
It’s always fun to share with people.
Thanks a lot guys!

I love Portraits. I love Portraits of strangers. Even more when I ask them if I can take a picture of them and they say yes with a smile. And even more when they get interested about what i’m doing.
These two persons are the owners of the bakery right next to my apartment. Really nice people, I always go there to get my dough to make home made pizzas. One day I had my K1000 and decided to ask Gilbert if I could photograph him and he asked me “why do you want my picture?” with a smile. I told him that it was just for fun, that it was my hobby, my passion.I took the picture then we talked for a while about the neighborhood, his bakery etc. etc..
One other day I had my Minolta Hi-Matic 2 Point-and-Shoot camera to test it out (I had it for like 3-4 years on my shelf and never tried it!) and had to go there so I took her portrait.
Here’s the couple !
